able communicate in chinese, around here have lot of chinese food and able to commmunicate in chinese. easier for the foreigner especially chinese. beside mandarin, the people around ehre also can speak dialect such as cantonese.

Stayed in this hotel every year between 2004 to 2014. I always booked the deluxe room local in the back of the hotel which is much bigger and quite than the standard room that facing the busy Tran Hung Dao street. Ddeluxe room also have a big windows over looking residence's rooftop and Windsor hotel few few miles away. Room is clean, staffs all friendly and honest. One time I left my wallet in the table which have more than $3000 USD. When I left the room I knew a cleaning lady is getting ready to clean my room, but when I arrived my relative's house, I found my wallet was missing and asked the taxi drove back to the hotel. Arrived my room about 1 hours after I left, my room was cleaned and I found my wallet was untouched and nothing missing. Big plus to the cleaning lady. In 2014 I took few friends to Vietnam and stay at Mario again, This time my friends were complaining no in room safety deposit box, they feel unsafe and inconvenience to keep valuable item in the front desk, so we moved to different hotel next day. In fact, I had make suggestion to the management for years please add a in room safe to the room but she never listen. The other thing I have complain to the hotel is coffee in the morning breakfast. Breakfast is simple choice of Asia noodle soups or eggs and bread. I don't mind the simple menu but you can only get black coffee. If you want to drink coffee with milk (cà phê sữa) it will cost extra. Wonder how much will cost them to add some milk to the coffee? Other than safety box and coffee issue, anything is great. Anyway, I may return to Mario some day and do recommend everyone who like to stay in Q5 and not not mind no safety deposit box and don't mind pay little extra for "cà phê sữa". This is your choice.
