This location turned out not to be right on the beach, as there was another plot of land blocking direct access. To reach the beach, one must walk about 50 meters. In the evenings, it felt quite dull; I noticed a few bars and massage shops nearby, but they were largely empty, with only a handful of Western customers here and there. On the day of our arrival, the sea was rough, with waves crashing fiercely and seawater encroaching deep onto the mainland. The beach was littered with trash, making it look uninviting and dangerous. Without proper measures to combat this erosion, it is likely that the beach could vanish within the next ten years. The accommodations were fairly average. I had booked an attic room, but since it was a quiet day, I was upgraded to a sea view room, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff and the host were courteous and polite, making communication and daily activities seamless. However, I do have a few points of dissatisfaction to share. Firstly, there is no elevator in the building, which can be exhausting for anyone staying in the attic rooms. The linens, including sheets and pillows, were not very fresh and had a slightly musty smell. Additionally, the refrigerator in the room was empty, and the surrounding area lacks sufficient development in terms of services like restaurants and shops. It’s advisable to rent a motorbike for about 100,000 VND per day to explore nearby attractions such as Hoi An and the Bay Mau coconut forest. Just be mindful to refuel when you enter Hoi An or Cua Dai to avoid any inconvenience while riding around. Overall, while there are some enjoyable aspects to this hotel, including its friendly staff and lovely views, there are also several areas that could use improvement, especially concerning the amenities and local services available.

The beach is beautiful and serene, the rooms are clean and well-equipped, the dining is delicious and cozy with a family atmosphere, it feels like vacationing in your own home. I have visited here twice and will definitely return many more times.

A charming and guest-friendly hotel. The balcony is delightful and inviting.

The host was incredibly accommodating. He arranged for a taxi in Da Nang to pick us up from the airport. He requested us to add him on WhatsApp to discuss our breakfast preferences each day. We were allowed to borrow their motorbike for 100 VND per day, which was very affordable. The room was exceptionally clean, and the housekeeper did a fantastic job daily. There were some issues with the WiFi, but he mentioned that these are being addressed with new equipment soon.

This is a basic hotel in a fantastic location. We had the family joined rooms in the roof. We walked along the beach, used the pool, loved our breakfast each morning - my favourite was an omelette with onions & tomatoes, crunchy bread with delicious butter and a coffee. There was always fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and the chef wanted to get to know us and chat about what we were doing each day. Getting laundry done was easy, just used WhatsApp to message the front desk. They cleaned our rooms, made our beds and replaced coffee packets and water bottles. They also arranged a taxi for us when Grab had no cars available. They also have airport transfer and bikes. We zipped into town in about 10 minutes, less than 100vnd per ride. We walked to and ate at the Wild Beach Restaurant. There is also Lucky Beach restaurant near by. Esco is across the road if you want a tourist style place on the beach. Minusing a star because the internet wasn’t fast or reliable and the front bathroom ended up smelling a bit. Also I didn’t remember there was no lift but the helper carried our bags up 4 flights.

Santa Villa Hoi An was an ideal spot for those who wants to seek reprieve from the busy old town, while still being a short distance away (6km) and having a almost private access to "Hanoi Beach". Mr Viet and his team were truly hospitable and friendly. My kids missed the daily breakfast which were cooked with love and also 'Panda', the pet dog of the establishment. Laundry at 30k/kg were an added plus 😀
