Review of Stay at Handari Riverview Hotel in Da Nang
I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, so I have plenty to share. Recently, Danang Cafe and Agoda both reviewed this hotel, and I'll summarize their insights, focusing on the essentials for Korean visitors. Handari Riverview, where I lodged, spans several floors: the lobby on the 1st, dining on the 2nd, and a meeting space on the 3rd, although I rarely ventured there. Exiting the elevator on the 4th floor, to the left lies a serene spa offering massages, and to the right, a petite swimming pool. Families are catered to here, yet the hotel struggles with operational efficiency, an advantage for child-free guests. While occasionally disruptive during breakfast, children posed no issue during my stay, a relief considering my preference for quietude. Rooms range from the 5th to the 15th floors, with larger family accommodations on the 16th and the renowned Top Bar gracing the 17th. Upon check-in, I received vouchers—a 200,000 dong spa discount per person on the 4th floor, complimentary afternoon tea from 2 to 4 p.m., and a 10% discount for Top Bar—each usable once during my stay, all of which I made full use. Thanks to the spa discount, their services were surprisingly economical. While satisfactory, farewells lacked warmth, notably due to a few staff members' discourteous demeanor. At Top Bar, the daytime river views were stunning, complemented by a variety of desserts and teas, including yogurt and fresh fruits. During my leisurely exploration of Da Nang, I enjoyed their afternoon tea, making use of the 10% Top Bar discount coupon. Evening visits to Top Bar, however, conflicted with a free wine offer and the discount, valid only for Tomahawk orders exceeding 800g, making it unusable for my preferences. A lion show invitation for the holiday thrilled me, though it was perhaps inadvertently left in my room during breakfast or from the day prior, unnoticed. The lobby also impressed with its delectable desserts, despite overindulgence leading to some discomfort. The hotel's pho restaurant was a standout, offering delicious broth even without additional condiments, with daily variations of rice noodles ensuring a delightful breakfast experience by the river from 6 to 7 a.m., when sunlight bathes everything in a slightly harsh glare. Quality outweighed quantity in their food offerings, a notable contrast to larger venues like Mikazuki. Overall, my satisfaction was marred only by issues at Top Bar and traffic challenges in front of the hotel due to its one-way street. Noteworthy among the staff was a manager with short hair, always in a white dress and black skirt, whose professionalism was evident in every interaction. During a group photo session with a lion-masked participant and hotel staff in the lobby, he positioned himself centrally, a thoughtful gesture that made a lasting impression. His promise to photograph me during the lion show was appreciated, although a delay in providing nail clippers due to a tour pick-up did occur, with another apologetic staff member later rectifying the situation. This hotel left a profound impression, and I encourage continued promotion of their lion show to enhance guest experiences. Thank you for the cherished memories, Handari Riverview lived up to its name.
