"Could this resort use a refresh? Sure. If a refresh doesn't happen? We will continue to book, enjoy the best food of any resort, and a staff that feels like family! I love this resort for what it is - Traditional Architecture, small personal, fantastic private beach with a guarded ocean front and amazing views from every room and the restaurant! Tell me - how many resorts offer breakfast, lunch and dinner from a restaurant that is actually "Over the Water" - and not just any water, clear, turquoise water that looks over to the mainland? During the day and from our bed at night with the curtains open, we refer to this as the "Millionaires View"! Service is top notch, wait staff at the restaurants and at the pools / beach is friendly and attentive. Front desk staff is always helpful and will quickly resolve any issue. Don't forget, this isn't just any "resort food". This Resort carries the Rolandi name, and they keep standards extremely high to keep that name! All pastas and pizza dough are handmade. The marinara sauce is homemade. There is a custom brick oven for pizza's, breads and more! The little breadbasket that comes from the brick oven with breakfast - those pastries are flown in from France! Then there is the seafood soup that is served with pieces of fresh lobster - all included - where else are you going to get that? The salmon is so fresh properly grilled that you would think it was caught off the beach! On the could be improved side is definitely the gym. Though the gym does offer a really good treadmill and bike, along with some light free weights and a machine, there are no heavy dumbbells and no bench press. I make do for a week, but if they had more, it would be really nice. Some rooms need new fixtures and new furnishings, not to mention larger TVs - but none of these issues keep us away. There are just too many positives that can't be matched elsewhere. Also, must say we completely enjoy the included boat ride across the turquoise sea as the staff serves cold drinks! It is like an included excursion both ways!"
