"We booked this hotel as a Friday night stopover location as we were travelling from Kent to Alton Towers and didn’t want a super early start on the Saturday. Location wise it’s so convenient, 5 mins off the M1 and because it’s not at an official service area you don’t pay the premium pricing. Hotel is right next door to a Beefeater for dinner and breakfast! We stayed in room 76 which was right up one end of the hotel, overlooking a quiet part of the car park. The room was a bit tired in places, one of the bedroom lamp bulbs was broken and so didn’t work, and despite there being a bath in the bathroom there was no plug for it! I’m sure not all rooms are in the same condition, but just small details during our experience which could be rectified with a little TLC. Will say though, that we all slept beautifully - the beds, bedding and pillows are SO comfortable, none of us wanted to get up! We’d definitely stay here again for the super comfy beds and convenient location."
